It’s 12 years. I’m still bitter and angry about this. I am terrible amused that the first novels set after Voyager involved breaking Chakotay and Seven up.
I’ll always be bitter. Unless they make some sort of anniversary special in which Janeway and Chakotay are happily together. Even with the relaunch books, it’s not enough. Canon has always been what’s aired, and until then (if ever), Star Trek will always be a sore spot for me. Yes. The entire thing. Because of this one thing. Why show enthusiasm for a franchise that shits on its fans?
